In today’s show we interview Vicky Schubert, principal of Inspired Alliance. Vicky’s focus is leadership and career development. We spoke with her about clarifying one’s core purpose.

As mentioned in our last episode, we recently attended the Career Thought Leaders Conference & Symposium in Baltimore.

It was great to connect with other career professionals and thought leaders in the area of résumé writing and career development. We returned with a lot of material for future topics on “Career Tips & Trends”.

A recurring theme was the importance of clarifying one’s niche. This is true for both career professionals and the clients they serve. The clearer we are on the problems we solve and the people we help the easier it is to find and engage them.

Vicky Schubert, principal of Inspired Alliance Coaching, is a career and leadership development coach who helps people identify and deliver on their greatest promise. In her work with clients she draws on her experience as a consultant and senior manager with both for-profit and nonprofit organizations focused on improving people’s work lives and performance.

Among the tools she uses to help clients navigate their development goals are the Leadership Agility 360 from Changewise and Cambria Consulting, and the Round Resume, a facilitated reflection process that illuminates the values and purpose at the heart of an individual’s career journey.
